Notre Histoire
Clean Town is a community development and sanitation activity launched in Cameroon by the country's service cooperatives. Born from the desire to make Cameroonian cities cleaner and healthier, this initiative mobilizes thousands of citizens across the entire national territory.
The adventure began in 2023 with the Yaoundé 5 Employment Service Cooperative and will gradually extend to the rest of the city and then reach Douala, where the study of its final implementation is underway with the City Council.
The activity revolves around 55,000+ beneficiaries across 300+ municipalities spread over the 10 regions of Cameroon.
Initially driven by the NGO PFAC with the operational support of committed cooperatives, Clean Town embodies concrete citizen action for the sustainable development of our cities and communities.
Our agents in green vests have become a recognizable symbol of community commitment in the streets and neighborhoods of Cameroon. They ensure the cleaning of public spaces, raise awareness among the population, and support municipalities toward better sanitation.
Beyond hygiene and cleanliness, Clean Town has implemented a genuine mechanism for transforming waste into decent employment opportunities for youth and women.
